Just a reminder to all of you....Suzie's Cakes will be having a ribbon cutting at 11:30am today. It would be nice to have several local businesses there to welcome her. Also, I believe that Hoquiam Chiropractic has been chosen as the business of the month for March AND don't forget Alexander's Grill will be hosting the Business After Hours on April 11th!

jillbellis January 20th - Inauguration Day 3 Jan 14 2009, 5:07 PM EST by jillbellis
Thread started: Dec 27 2008, 1:28 PM EST  Watch
I'd like to invite all local businesses to Channel Point Village on January 20th for Inauguration Day. I'd like to propose that the local restaurants offer a boxed lunch for people who might like to watch this historical event that otherwise would not have access to a television. They could grab a boxed lunch and head on over to Channel Point where we will have three rooms set up with TV's, one big screen set up in our main dining room provided to us by ColorThyme Rentals, one in activity room and third in our Theatre/Media room. People can come and go as they wish.
I would love to provide lunch at CPV, however it would be difficult for us not knowing who or how many would actually be attending. This way local restaurants would benefit as well.
Our staff will be dressed in "Inaugural Black Tie" attire and we will be highlighting the fact that we have two residents that are 101 years young and were alive when Taft was inaugurated! We will begin our day just as the new president will and follow his schedule through out the day beginning with a prayer service and ending with our Inaugural Ball. (which will actually be hosted in the afternoon preceding the Inauguration.)
I've run out of space, so give me some feedback .Love to have local dignataries join.
